๐Ÿ The buzz worth reading

About ยท Write For Us ยท Contact

Every publication says it cares about quality. This page explains what that actually means at EditorBuzz โ€” the concrete standards each article must meet before it is published under the EditorBuzz Staff byline, and what we do when we fall short.

Research-First Standards

EditorBuzz articles begin with research, not with a publishing quota. Before drafting, writers are expected to understand the topic well enough to explain it to a skeptical friend: what is actually known, what is disputed, what has changed recently, and what practical difference it makes to a reader. We commission stories because they answer a genuine reader question โ€” not because a keyword tool suggested them โ€” and we would rather publish fewer, better articles than flood the site with thin content. Coverage spans technology, business, health, fashion, home decor, gaming, and entertainment, and each vertical is held to the same bar.

Sourcing

We prioritize primary sources: official documentation, peer-reviewed research, regulatory filings, manufacturer specifications, first-hand testing, and interviews with practitioners. Secondary sources are used for context and are credited with links. We do not present another outlet’s reporting as our own, and we do not cite sources we have not actually read. Claims that are statistical, medical, financial, or otherwise consequential must be traceable to a named, checkable source within the article. Anonymous sourcing is rare and requires an editor’s sign-off.

Fact-Checking

Before publication, every article is reviewed by an editor who checks factual claims against the cited sources, verifies names, numbers, dates, and prices, and challenges anything that sounds too tidy to be true. Product details are checked against current listings at the time of writing. Health and finance content receives extra scrutiny because the cost of an error is higher, and it is always framed as general information rather than advice, consistent with our Disclaimer.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it โ€” quickly and visibly. Verified factual errors are corrected in the article, with a note describing what changed and when for anything more significant than a typo. We do not quietly rewrite history. Readers are our best fact-checkers: if you spot an error, email hello@editorbuzz.com with the subject line Correction, or use our Contact page. Correction requests are prioritized ahead of all other correspondence and are typically reviewed within two business days.

Independence

Editorial decisions at EditorBuzz are made by editors โ€” full stop. Advertisers, affiliate partners, and PR representatives do not choose our topics, see drafts in advance, or influence verdicts. The site earns revenue through display advertising and affiliate commissions, and we maintain a strict separation between that revenue and our editorial judgment, as detailed in our Affiliate Disclosure. Free products or review samples, where accepted, are disclosed and never guarantee favorable coverage.

Sponsored Content Labeling

If content is paid for or produced in partnership with a brand, it is labeled clearly as sponsored at the top of the page โ€” before you invest time reading it, not in fine print at the bottom. Sponsored content is never disguised as independent editorial, and sponsors do not receive favorable treatment in our independent coverage in exchange for their spend. Details for prospective partners are on our Advertise page.

AI Assistance Transparency

Our team may use AI tools the way we use spellcheckers and search engines: to assist with research organization, outlining, and editing. What we do not do is publish unreviewed machine output. Every article is directed, verified, and edited by humans who are accountable for its accuracy, and the standards on this page apply in full regardless of what tools were used in production. If AI plays a material role in creating a specific piece of content beyond routine assistance, we will say so on that piece.

Accountability

The EditorBuzz Staff byline represents a team, not an escape from responsibility โ€” you can read more about how we work on our Meet Our Team and About Us pages. Questions about this policy, or about any specific article, are welcome at hello@editorbuzz.com. We aim to answer within two business days.
